Abstract

The Teaching is a profession that is prone to stress. Teaching is a job that has a lot of pressure. Teachers must have more patience and attention to teach knowledge and life skills to students. Unfortunately, teachers are not equipped with good coping strategy skills in dealing with problems both in the world of work and in everyday life. Love Therapy as an alternative psychological intervention with a transpersonal approach is intended to help teachers overcome the stressful conditions they experience. Love Therapy is a psychosynthetic love method that emphasizes recognizing, realizing and loving all aspects of oneself through guided imagery or visualization techniques. The research method used is one group pretest-posttest design with a small group design. Participants in the training were 5 PAUD teachers aged 20-35 years who taught at Al-Maghfirah Bintuni Kindergarten, West Papua. Love Therapy is carried out in 2 meetings lasting 150-180 minutes per meeting. The research results show that Love therapy is effective in reducing teacher stress levels. The reduction in stress levels was very visible, especially after the acceptance session which was marked by increased feelings of love and self-esteem.
